Mounting the SRT dish

On May 22nd 2010, the dish of the Sardinia Radio Telescope (SRT) has been
lifted and mounted on its final structure. The Sardinia Radio Telescope is a 64-m dish of the INAF/Cagliari
Astronomical Observatory. It will be used in single dish mode for a wide range of astronomical
observations, as well as VLBI antenna for the European VLBI Network.

meeting. On may 5th the currently constructed 64-metre radio telescope
was visited.

Recently, the Shangai Observatory (SHAO) has asked to join RadioNet. The RadioNet board has agreed and legal actions are prepared so that SHAO will become an official RadioNet member in the coming months.
