2005 Mar 31 James M Anderson --JIVE start WIKI stuff for ionosphere

Ionospheric calibration routines are being developed to improve phase referencing at low (~1 GHz) frequencies for VLBI. The focus of the software is to improve calibration of the EVN for L band observations, but the software development shoud be made as generic as possible, so that other radio interferometers (VLBA, Westerbork, VLA, etc.) should be able to benefit.

A draft version of a Use Case document is now available as use_case.tex or use_case.pdf This document is still being edited and cleaned up, but comments are welcome.

2008 Feb 18. Here is a copy of my ParselTongue ionospheric calibration software

This tarball includes my development software for modeling the ionosphere delay and Faraday rotation for calibration of AIPS (and with the Python interfaces, other) datasets. It is in a rough state at the moment, but should be able to compile with a bit of tweaking of the main Makefile on most Linux systems. I believe all parts are allowed to be publicaly released (PIM, SOFA, and IRI should be public, and my changes to the _Numerical Recipes_ code should be extensive enough that it is really my code now.) README and INSTALL files should be produced soon, but if you want to get started, here is the big software tarball: ALBUS_Ionosphere_1.0.0.tgz
