MERLIN data
These data have been extracted from the MERLIN archive using local software to apply a preliminary flux scale and a bandpass calibration to enable continuum data to be channel-averaged in some cases. 3C286 is present in each data set as a flux and (where relevant) polarization angle calibrator.

EVN+MERLIN combination tutorial data
EVN Data
Continuum/polarization
FITS files and pipeline output (1.1 Gb) from N04C3
- The data is from an NME so the experiment is very simple, but the required calibrators are included.
- OQ208 is unpolarized and can easily be used to determine the D-terms.
- 3C273B is a bright source which should be reasonably polarized (about 4%).
- This source is also observed as part of the VLA flux/polarization monitoring scheme and so can be used to provide its own EVPA calibration.
- 1222 is a reasonably bright, and very compact source which should also be suitable for doing both the D-term calibration and the EVPA calibration (as a check of the other two sources).
- Information from simultaneous WSRT observations could also be provided for the EVPA calibration.
- NB Probably best to flag all Noto data as phase coherence is very poor.

The rawdata directory will be used during the tutorial. Since it is very unlikely that people manage to calibrate the whole project, the (calibrated) uv tables are available in the uvtables directory, to be used for the imaging. The other directories are there mostly for reference.
See Tutorial notes HighFrequencyDataCalibrationandImaging for more details.
