Next Generation Correlators for Radio Astronomy and Geodesy: Hotel Information
The workshop will be held at the NH Groningen Hotel. The hotel is located just outside of the Groningen city center, and the 10th floor conference venue offers a view overlooking the city skyline. (See NextGenerationCorrelatorVenueInformation.)
The NH Groningen Hotel has extended their previous block reservation and reserved a limited number of rooms at the reduced workshop rate until 2006 June 12. To reserve a room, please download one of the following two forms, print the form out, fill it in, and fax it to the hotel.
The hotel is offering a package deal including breakfast and supper. The form ngcres2.pdf includes two suppers, and ngcres3.pdf includes three suppers.
Until now, two-thirds of the hotel reservations have included dinner at the NH Hotel (the all-in arrangement). However, the conference banquet on Wednesday, June 28, will not be at the NH Hotel, so you definitely do not want to purchase the full meal plan. Moreover, the NH Hotel is located within a few minutes walking distance from the center of Groningen, which has many wonderful restaurant options.
We recommend that you check your hotel reservation to see exactly what you have reserved, and make any necessary changes when you check in at the hotel. If you decide to have dinner at the hotel, you will be given vouchers and the meal costs will be added to your room charge. Lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday is provided by the workshop. We would also like to caution participants that the NH hotel will charge room and meal expenses upon *arrival*, and not at the time of departure.
You may also reserve a room directly with the hotel by visiting thier web site here. Unfortunately, the hotel does not offer an on-line means to reserve rooms in the JIVE/workshop block.
If you are reserving a room after 2006 June 12, you must use the on-line form.
Directions to the hotel are available at ngcdir.pdf
Information for parking near the hotel can be found at ngcpark.pdf
