Data

Data are supplied for use during ERIS and for related preparation and follow-up only.

Although most of the data are in the public domain, special effort has been used to prepare them for the School. Please do not use such data in any publication without first consulting the SoC (eris@jb.man.ac.uk) or the tutor leading the relevant session. In some cases the data will form part of students' theses, so we are sure that you will respect this.

All data have now been installed on the server for the tutorial machine at ERIS. LinksToDataSources is for preparation by tutors only.

ERIS data are in /home/user/datastore

MERLIN (and VLA) data

These data have been extracted from the MERLIN archive using local software to apply a preliminary flux scale and a bandpass calibration to enable continuum data to be channel-averaged in some cases. 3C286 is present in each data set as a flux and (where relevant) polarization angle calibrator.

This will include lectures and a tour, see VisitToJodrellBankObservatory

Miscellaneous

If you are claiming expenses from RadioNet, your accomodation will be paid directly. Lecturers and local helpers should claim travel costs using Claim Form NA3 . These need to be signed by Tiziana. If possible please complete and hand in the form and all receipts at ERIS (we will provide a collection point); otherwise please send your claim to Patricia Gorham at Jodrell Bank Observatory, University of Manchester, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK11 9DL, UK.
