This is an effort to accommodate the software infrastructure for some of the ALBUS implementations. For this we have adopted a project to make a Python interface for classic AIPS. This has been nicknamed ParselTongue. A detailed motivation for this can be found on the FutureProcessing page.

At the FirstSoftwareForumMeeting, MarkKettenis gave a presentation about ParselTongue. The slides of this presentation can be found in the ProceedingsFirstSoftwareForumMeeting.
In December 2007, MarkKettenis attended the AstroGrid/RadioNet workshop for radio data providers, to give two presentations about ParselTongue and assist with the Workgroups that featured ParselTongue.
