Computer-based tutorials
We have use of >70 workstations in 3 rooms. The machines have internet access so students can use links to observatory User Guides etc. The computing sessions will take place in the Kilburn Building, Manchester Computing Centre marked No. 39 - but see note below about Mon 5 September.
Tutorial outlines/scripts and data will be linked from the SchoolOrganisationPages . Please have a look and if possible test the recipes. Please feed back any bugs, unclarity or suggestions for improvements to Anita amsr@jb.man.ac.uk ext 2683.
On Monday 5 September there will be an Introduction to Computing at 14:00 in the Greenwood Room marked No. 64 followed by walking over to the Kilburn Building for the first tutorial session. If you are helping at the first session please come to the introduction as well if you can.
