Objective or Use Case:
Develop algorithms/observing strategies to combine wide-angle (global) VLBI astrometry
with narrow-angle (local) VLBI astrometry, i.e. combine group delays and phases, to produce
improved, denser and unified reference frames.

Major milestone:
Final report on new algorithms and observing strategies for astrometry - Month 28

11/06/09: matching funds would be granted by the Region (Conseil Regional d'Aquitaine). Will be confirmed in September 2009.
20/07/09: will meet Ed Fomalont in Socorro to discuss the level and details of NRAO involvement
01/09/09: expected start of work
