**Achievements in reporting period:** * Quantity of access provided 76 hours Access hours at JCMT are dependent upon whether an observer travels to Hawaii to observe. In such cases Access Hours equal the hours approved for the programs by the TAG/ITAC: <-------- Hours --------> Project approved observed Access Dates obs, erv,ed / sche-duled ------- -------------------------- ----------------------------- m08bi02 10 10.0 10.0 Jan 23,27,30 Mar 13,14 m08bn09 30 8.0 8.0 Jan 08, Mar 27, May 05 m09ai03 36 14.25 36 Mar 06-11 m09au01 12 3.9 12 Mar 06-11 ------ Total Access Hours 88.0 * Number of projects completed during the reporting period two (2), with 2 others partially completed as above * Number of projects planned Four (4) Intake of proposals during semesters 09A and 09B included four(4) and four(4), respectively, that were RadioNet-eligible. Of these, two(2, above) and two(2), respectively, were approved by the various TAGs/ITAC. * Estimated quantity of access in next 12 months Possible 51 hours : 27 hours for two programs in 09B 24 hours for one program in 10A (yet to be approved) With the flexible observing scheme at JCMT it is always hoped that older incomplete programs might also acquire more data ('Access'). **Problems / Issues** * Issues - organisational, administrative or other problems foreseen Overall demand for 'PI' time on JCMT has declined over recent semesters with the advent of the Legacy Surveys. Potential independent observers find their observational needs satisfied through membership of the surveys. Demand for RadioNet support has declined proportionately. Semester 10B (which includes 2010 August, September . .) will, for the first time, offer SCUBA-2 to JCMT users. Demand is expected to be heavy from all communities, and the number of RadioNet-eligible proposals should increase proportionately. * Red flags - major problems (none to report) **Forward Look** * Plan for next year – 12 month outlook, more detail in first 6 month (including budget) (no data) imc/20090923
